Open Plan
A non-binding offer that will take you far
With the Open Plan access all the vehicles in our fleet, whether they are accessible WITH or WITHOUT reservation, without further commitment than the $40 annual fee.
Individual subscription only: the Open Plan does not allow the addition of joint-members and does not include access to Long Distance rates.
Preferred rates with FLEX vehicles
Subscription to the Open Plan gives you access to FLEX vehicles at the same price as your package, when it's more advantageous for you.
What does the parity of the price of your package mean?
This benefit means that, at any time, when you use a FLEX vehicle, the rate applied is the most advantageous between:
- The FLEX rate at regular fare (40¢/minute or $12/hour or $50/day, 100km inclusive, plus taxes)
- Or, the basic price of your Open Plan, with a minimum of 4 hours billed
Regardless of the duration of your trip or the number of kilometers traveled, the best price is always granted automatically. You do not have to worry about anything!

As its name says, the Value Plus gives you all the attributes of the Value Plan at even lower hourly and kilometer rates. Furthermore, if you have a quick errand to run, automatically benefit from the Open Plan rates with a bonus credit of $1 on its hourly rate, when this option is less expensive for you. Furthermore, you also benefit from the quick round-trip option: get the Open Plan rates when this option is less expensive for you.

Valid from Monday to Friday: a real bargain if you plan to use a vehicle regularly during the week. Furthermore, you also benefit from the quick round-trip option: get the Open Plan rates when this option is less expensive for you.

- Pay 35¢/minute instead of 40¢
- The basic rate of your package (hourly rate + kilometre rate): no matter the duration of your trip it will be calculated at the best price for you. A 4-hour minimum is however billed, even if you use the vehicle for less than 4 hours.

- To locate these vehicles, simply select the Long distance rate and choose option "Promotion Sun" when making a reservation. Then select a station identified with the sun icon. Kilometer fee not included.
- A charge of $10/h applies for each additional hour, the maximum being the cost of an extra day.
- A "gas price supplement" can be applied according to the fluctuations of the oil market. Supplement in effect currently: $0.
Family memberships
Subscribe all eligible members of your family to maximize your savings. Find out more
All members of a household living at the same address have the option to register together using a single account, to enjoy great rebates on their membership fees. Joint-members will receive a common invoice each month.
Terms
The refundable membership fee for a household is $750. Each joint-member’s annual fee is capped at $40, regardless of the plan chosen by the family.
For example, a family of three who chooses to subscribe to the Value Extra plan will have a total annual invoice of $440 ($360 + $40 + $40) instead of $1080 ($360 x 3), saving almost 60%.

Family members under 20 years old eligible to join.
People under the age of 20, who wish to join Communauto will be able to do so by subscribing as a joint-member and living at the same address as the parent at the time of registration. The deductible in case of at-fault accident for people under 20 is fixed at $600. The choice of deductible in case of an at-fault accident is not available to subscribers in this category.

CloseQuick Round-Trip
Value Plus and Value Extra members automatically enjoy the Open Plan rates when this option is less expensive.
Workweek rate
Use a vehicle for a $19.20 per day flat fee, and keep your Communauto overnight without additional charge.
The Workweek rate does not apply to FLEX trips.
A real bargain!
Only the subscription to the Value Extra plan entitles to the Workweek rate.
Terms:
- $19.20 per day flat fee
- Available only from Monday to Friday (If your trip exceeds this period, it will be fully charged at the basic rate of your plan)
- Max. 10 consecutive hours
- 40 km included
- $0.43 per extra km
*An unaccounted period from midnight to 6 am is included. This means you can pick up a car at 5 pm and return it the next day at 9 am (16 hours later) without incurring any extra costs.
CloseDamage Protection Plan
By default, an amount of one dollar ($1) per trip is charged to limit your damage fee in case of an accident (liable or not) to $600. You can eliminate this amount and reduce your liability for damage by choosing one of the other options.
