Felix is the name of the automated telephone answering system announced in the last edition of
l'Écho·mobile (vol. X, no 1). 
   
     
  What's going to change?
If everything goes as planned, Felix will be in service around mid-July. You’ll notice this because he’ll begin asking you to identify yourself with your membership number. Then Felix will ask you “if you want to speak to an operator or use our new voice automated reservation system”. You’ll always be able to choose one or the other of these options. As well, remember that even if you choose the second option, you can always change your mind and ask to speak to one of our operators; just say ”operator” and no matter where you are in “the system”, Felix will follow your command without as much as a grumble.
  At any time, just
say “Operator”
and you’ll be
transferred
right away…

  What's my temporary password?
Your TEMPORARY PASSWORD corresponds to the first 5 NUMBERS in your driver’s license number (not to be confused with the “Numero de Reference”). Skip any letters or other non-numeric characters (this also applies if your driver’s license is not from Quebec). In the example shown here, the password corresponds to the numbers
2 7 3 1 2.

  What sort of things
will I be able to do with Felix?

With Felix you can…
– Check your existing reservations,
   modify or cancel them
– And, of course, reserve a vehicle
…. exactly as you have been doing all along with Réservauto; however, only reservations for local trips that last no more than 10 hours can be processed with Felix. Excluded are trips of the type “Inter-réseau”.

 
     
  What are the
advantages of using Felix?

During evenings, Felix lets you save on your call charges when making reservations (50¢ instead of $1). What’s more, there’s no limit to the number of reservations you can make and no need to call back if your trip starts in the afternoon of the following day… During the day, Felix lets you make your reservations right away, without having to wait to speak to an operator.
